Haven’t counted, but think about 450-500 were rewatches. Lots of classic movies. Of course I pay attention to each movie, but I’m sure there was a big difference between my attention to the top 100 new movies vs the bottom 100 rewatches.

In 2020 I watched about 300. Doubt the number will be bigger than that in 2022. 2021 was special.

I’m watching Zoolander now. Rewatch. It’s on in the background, I’m also playing a bit with my daughter, posting here, and chatting a bit with my wife.

Even if it was a rewatch, when we watched A Beautiful Mind yesterday, we just watched the movie, and my daughter was already sleeping.

I think it’s really funny. Seen it a few times before (2-3).

I personally count re-watches unless it's very soon after (I watched a few movies twice in the spring in a span of 2-3 weeks because I was teaching them, that only counts as one). But I don't really count background movie. Still, that's impressive.

I give all my movies full attention, but I am basically never able to watch them in one go. I watch forty minutes or so, take a break, watch another forty minutes, etc. It's not ideal

With a one year old in the house, full attention can be difficult. Always need to keep an eye on her.

The final two movies of the year will be Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (extended).

I think it depends on the situation for me--if I put a movie on at night I usually push through to the end but I have a hard time settling in during the day. I end up watching 1-2 movies a week just by having it on with lunch.

The first Harry Potter film feels like the most magical of all of them. Great casting as well.
