Keanu is SO GOOD in this, his performance alone is worth the price of admission

I've researched the original 3 movies this week, so I think I'm going to rewatch this on one tonight

What did your research yield?

That the original three matrix movies are better than I remember.

That or a decade of Disney blockbusters has lowered my standards.

It's been a while since I watched any of them, it's probably Civil War or one of the Iron Man movies.

I liked Iron Man 2 better than most people it seems. I've never been able to generate a fully formed opinion on 3.

I enjoyed Civil War, but Winter Soldier is my fave.

They did the red pill / blue pill thing like 9 times and each time it felt more like the elimination ceremony at the end of an episode of reality TV

Jorge wrote:I honestly had such a good time with this. Enjoyed it thoroughly. It's so goddamn goofy at times. The cast is having a blast. The writers felt like they were having a good time. It's infectious.

And after finally watching it I can't believe you people's criticisms of Trinity's epiphany. It seemed like the righteous rage that has been simmering inside her finally boiled over and burned off the last remaining vestiges of her connection to this world (which, I'd also like to point out, is not as sudden as some of you made it sound. She'd been questioning her reality ever since her husband laughed at her. She's lived with this for a bit.
love this and agree, happy new year!

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I’m a fan of all 4 movies, and I don’t have any real issue with this one - I really enjoyed it. I do think it would make more sense if they made a 2nd and featured Trinity. They certainly left the door open for more.

I hope I get my lesbian bike ride road trip and some more killer car chases in the next movie; everyone trying to keep Trineo down but they can't keep Trineo down, Trineo is forever

this thing needs to go full cheese

I feel like Lana was definitely just amusing herself here and it needs to continue cos it's joyous: let's have everyone philosophize and brainstorm the new movie to the point everyone's complaining it makes no sense, then say "fuck it, "lesbians, bike go grrrr, Trinity go pew pew!"

I would like a matrix movie that explores the actual real world on the surface. Where the machines are. Not underground where humans are
