Movies that have GREAT ACTING

There are so many great movies with great casts/performances, but from Jorge's OP I'm more interested in the movies you guys would consider: Movies where everyone is firing on all cylinders, and even when the story or the filmmaking themselves are merely "OK," the acting makes the whole thing worthwhile.

Yeah, I’ve been trying to think of an otherwise “bad” movie that has great acting and I can’t come up with a good one.

It could just be a mediocre movie. I’m also trying to come up with one for either as well…

A recent one that comes to mind is The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Not a great movie, but Chastain's performance was outstanding, especially in the back half.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
