Suggestion - "like" button

Post by given2trade »

I'm on another board where people can "like" a post and it then says the people who liked it under the post. I think that would be great for this board. Often I read comments I want to "like" but don't want to quote reply saying "I agree" cause it's just clutter.

The Husky football board has “upvotes and downvotes”

It’s great

i've wanted to bring this up for a while but was worried B would get offended...

But yet, I'm active on another board that uses BB Code (or at least I think it does, it looks pretty much the same) and it has all these functional bells and whistles that are really nice and seamlessly integrated.

I don't know if I could take that kind of a rejection.

what if there was a horizontal thumb option for when you don’t want to reject, but don’t want to like, but also don’t want to comment?

It requires a new post. It clogs up the whole board with people posting to just to give a thumbs up or down. If you allowed it to be integrated in the post it makes for a much easier reading experience.
