Mark lanegan is basically the only artist I like that my wife will listen to. I told her this morning he wrote an awesome disco song. She didn't believe me. I played her ode to sad disco. 45 seconds in 'well okay, i guess he did'

I have no idea if my wife would dig this guy or not. I have a feeling not. But she's surprised me plenty of times before.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as stip, my wife likes almost nothing I listen to these days with the exception of lanegan. His output is pretty much the only new non radio stuff she listens too in the last 5 years or so.

I'm excited for you, newcomer. Make sure you return to Bubblegum early and often.

Field songs isn't my favorite album of his, but the best songs on that album are at the absolute top of the heap of his output.

Do tell.

My wife likes some Lanegan but would never choose to put some on. Probably wouldn't turn it off though.

The two biggest examples that come to mind are Neutral Milk Hotel and Arctic Monkeys. She loves the shit out of both of those bands and I never saw that coming.

In our 80-song tournament, a song as good as strange religion wasn't drafted. That's the depth of the catalogue here.
