particularly dust. sweet oblivion was an easier entry point to the trees for me but its not as good overall, i don't think.
I probably enjoy it more but dust is certainly reaching for more.

I feel like this could be one of the more difficult tourneys to vote on in RM history. I like all the teams. A lot.

shame on you for not drafting Pill Hill Serenade and Miracle
Sometimes I wanna drive around and find you
And act like it's a random thing

voting will open 9am eastern time tomorrow...how long do we want per round? 2 days? We'll go one matchup at a time, I guess. I;ll do the papers in hat method again and post the first round matchups shortly.

Something tells me that there was nothing random about my first round matchup.

I knew you'd say that. When I opened the bits of paper I grinned.

You're going down.

It's from Black Pudding, solid tune. Also I agree about SO and Dust standing up to most of his solo work. To me the Trees were the most underrated band of the 90s.

G. Kreng

1) Wish You Well-5
2) Revival-5
3) Fix-2
4) When Your Number Isn't Up-3.5
5) Sunrise-3.5
6) Tiny Grain of Truth-3.5
7) Untitled Lullabye-4
8) Carry Home-3.5
9) Crawl Space-3.5
10) Wildflowers-3

Kreng starts out strong, drafting my favorite Lanegan song and my number one pick last lanegan tournament. Revival has cool for me a little bit since the second soulsavers album came out, but it is still amazing. The rest of the team is full of solid songs (fix is the only one I'm not crazy about, although it's been a long time since I listened), but few greats (to my ears)

H. Ridley

1) One Way Street-4
2) One Hundred Days-4.5
3) Beggar's Blues-4.5
4) Ode to Sad Disco-5
5) No Easy Action-4
6) Sleep With Me-4
7) Message To Mine-4
8) You Won't Let Me Down Again-4.5
9) Paper Money-4
10) Out of Nowhere-2

This was a near perfect team, full of excellent songs, until out of nowhere, which is probably the song I like the least on Bubblegum. But everything else on this team is really good.

I see you ended up with one way street AND no easy action--the best 1-2 opening combo in the catalog (except maybe the start of blues funeral). So nicely done there

Vote for Ridley, which is probably my second favorite team in this thing.

I looked over the teams for a long time and I'm coming up Kreng. Just a lot of old favorites.
