Imagine how powerful we'll all be with 4 shots and omnicron bonus antibodies!!!spike wrote:I saw a small study that showed evidence of like a 2000% boost in antibodies in that scenario, but it hasn’t been peer reviewed.bada wrote:So if you have three shots and survived catching Omicron (assuming it was Omicron) are you sitting pretty or still doomed?

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
By all accounts, spike has done everything by the book and his whole family still has covid. Are we ready to admit the charade of protocols is pointless and let the world start spinning again?
Spike, I genuinely hope you are ok and I take this lightly because we have every reason to believe that you will be.

vaccines, boosters and mask will not eliminate the virus. the whole point of them is to lessen your chances of catching it (masks) and if you do catch it and are vaxxed and boosted your chances are very minimal (though still possible) to end up in the hospital. i have trouble breathing before i had covid until they got my heart issues in check and i can promise you there isnt much scarrier than not being able to breathe like normal

The problem is, 40% of Americans haven’t done everything by the book, and they’re the ones bringing the healthcare system to its knees.Bammer wrote:By all accounts, spike has done everything by the book and his whole family still has covid. And of course we can’t have vastly different rules for the vaccinated and unvaccinated, because freedom or whatever, so here we sit.

Anyone who can’t yet figure out that the vaccines/boosters work needs a simple math refresher. Yes, cases are exploding, but hospitalization/death numbers are not where they were last year at this time. We know why… Two people I know (including my mother) who are immunocompromised contracted Covid over the holidays, and were fully vaxxed and had the booster. They both were ok. That isn’t luck. Yes, there still was a chance they could get really sick, but they helped their chances. This isn’t rocket science.

My wife seems to be over all symptoms except for fatigue. She says it comes and goes throughout the day, unlike any virus she’s had before.
I tested again a day or two ago and was still negative.
Assuming you feel exactly the same regardless of positive or negative result.

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
Peeps, I hear you and unfortunately you’re one of the unlucky people in a higher risk category (heart issues) and therefore should be taking extra precautions for yourself which most practically means avoiding other people. The rest of us should be able to go to a football game. Or school. Or whatever.Peeps wrote:are you really this obtuse?Bammer wrote:By all accounts, spike has done everything by the book and his whole family still has covid. This is all true. However, what is also true is that Pfizer had a 2021 Q3 profit of over $13billion (read over 1 billion dollars per week).Rob wrote:Anyone who can’t yet figure out that the vaccines/boosters work needs a simple math refresher. Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Seatbelts don't always work though. Aren't you afraid you're going to get trapped in your car and burn to death?macphisto wrote:Of course. Seat belts work. It's also the law.JuanHamm wrote:macphisto wrote:morons wrote:Masks don't work 100%, so we may as well not bother.

"Work" is a weird word, anyway, when it comes to this. I think it's more about mitigation than foolproof protection

Seat belts work far more often than they don't. Masks don't work far more often than they do.JuanHamm wrote:Seatbelts don't always work though. It's got to be about 99:1 "the seat belt saved his life" vs. "he would have been able to get out if not for the seat belt."
How's this analogy going for you?
