this bothered me a bit, as did not being able to see exactly how walt slipped the ricin into lydia's unopened stevia packet. two nits, really.BDB wrote:Only flaw was the nazis not checking the trunk before they let him drive in.
otherwise, an exceptionally satisfying conclusion. brilliant television, can't wait to watch this one all over again.

'baby blue' playing over walt's last few minutes in the meth lab was genius. that entire last sequence of scenes was sublime.

i read somewhere that gilligan outlined in the post-episode wrap-up the significance of walt leaving behind his watch on the top of that pay phone. i missed 'talking bad'; did anyone catch his explanation for why walt did that?

After rewatching the scene I think it is clear he put the poisoned Stevia packet in the container prior to her even sitting down. There was only one pack in the there. She sat in the same place at the same day every time so it makes sense.--- wrote:this bothered me a bit, as did not being able to see exactly how walt slipped the ricin into lydia's unopened stevia packet. two nits, really.BDB wrote:Only flaw was the nazis not checking the trunk before they let him drive in.

the rest of his life without walter white around, and being held captive in a meth lab for months probably gave him a new perspective on life too.daft twat wrote:my only issue is that jesse didn't die. this show had the balls to do everything else, but they didn't do that. and the thing is, i love jesse, which is why i wanted him to die. what does he have to look forward to exactly, yo

It was simple continuity. They had already filmed him in the Denny's after the phone call and he wasn't wearing the watch.--- wrote:i read somewhere that gilligan outlined in the post-episode wrap-up the significance of walt leaving behind his watch on the top of that pay phone. i missed 'talking bad'; did anyone catch his explanation for why walt did that?

I loved the scene with the Schwartzes. Walt asserted his power and savored every second of it.

Re: TV: Breaking Bad
thinking about this scene a bit more, i suppose walt's revenge is even more devious, as walt jr. may never accept the money if he suspects it's from his father, leaving the schwartzes get to live in fear for the rest of their days.theplatypus wrote:I loved the scene with the Schwartzes. Re: TV: Breaking Bad
that was the watch that Jesse bought him, right? I can't really formulate why it would be legitimately significant besides continuity, though why not just shoot the phone call without the watch on? I call shenanigans on chud.

Re: TV: Breaking Bad
DVR caught that part of Talking Bad. He literally said it was for continuity. Stupid.
