Reports say this isn't about Harbaugh but that's really hard to believe that he would do this without already having his guy. Maybe they're lying to cover themselves on the Rooney rule.tree_ wrote:Ugh. I don’t like it. But I’m guessing Ross finally got Harbaugh. An offensive minded coach would be nice but I will miss Flores’ defense.

Re: the miami dolphins
Flores definitely had his issues, including struggling to know when and when not to challenge a play, and inability to surround himself with quality assistants, but I felt the good outweighed the bad. Maybe there are some things that will come out now that he’s gone that will change my mind.

His biggest weakness was definitely assembling a staff. Seems like he got a raw deal, though.

Re: the miami dolphins
Yeah I felt at least one more season was warranted. Maybe some players complained about some shit that was unforgivable or something. I recall Tua’s trainer leaked he wasn’t player friendly or something earlier in the season. Also some players were commenting that they weren’t properly preparing for games during losing streak. Not a good look.

Yeah gotta think losing seven in a row sealed his fate, unless he could’ve pulled off nine in a row.

From Ross' press conference it sounds like Grier and Flores didn't work well together and Ross picked Grier.

"If I'd have knew you were going to be this bad, I would have picked Mac Jones," Flores told the quarterback, according to Lombardi.

Lombardi has said this is not true. It wasn't a direct quote, but more an impression Lombardi got from speaking with Flores (or someone close to Flores).

Tua is a good QB. He needs a decent o line and running game to be better. That’s fair for any QB. I don’t get why so many people are so hard on him. He has pretty good stats for only playing Less than two seasons.

He's okay. He's not horrible but he also isn't obviously a franchise QB and it looks more likely that he isn't than he is.
