Another anecdote… I have a friend who works in healthcare. They have providers that are sometimes getting four times their normal hourly wage to cover shifts, because people are so burned out. People are also turning down $1500 bonuses to work a single shift because the money is no longer worth their free time.

Kid woke up multiple times last night with congestion. We’ve eaten three times, did flash cards, a letter matching game, toddler yoga, a bath, and living room ballet all by 1030. Now watching Stuart Little 2. I have no idea how I’m going to make it to 5pm.

Five straight days of indoor quarantine with a toddler is really brutal for everyone, but mostly I feel bad for the kid.

Just glad to hear the kiddo has energy; that kept my spirits up when ours was positive. Sounds like everything will be fine.

I wonder what the percentages are of people testing positive that have symptoms as opposed to someone testing positive but with no symptoms. In some places they'd both have to stay home.

Pre-pandemic, we were all going to work and school with cold symptoms and no one batted an eye. Now, protocols are so weird that hockey games are cancelled because 4 or more players test positive (but are not showing symptoms)
