Re: The Expanse (Books / SyFySeries)
Finished the last book. I'm not watching the last season of the show until all the episodes drop.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: The Expanse (Books / SyFySeries)
Really good but really rushed. I will never understand why no network or streamer has fully committed to this series when it comes to budget (production, marketing, etc.) and completing the narrative.
I fully expect to get at least one movie to wrap up the story but The Expanse deserves so much more.

Re: The Expanse (Books / SyFySeries)
I thought it was a pretty good finale all things considered. Pretty intense.
I have a few big problems with this season, but I thought it was a big improvement over the last one.
That opening scene pissed me off though.

I’ve never really been able to follow the space battles in this show.E.H. Ruddock wrote:That scene attacking the ring station was badass

I like that they're so fast and chaotic. Basically whoever gets hit first loses.spike wrote:I’ve never really been able to follow the space battles in this show.E.H. Ruddock wrote:That scene attacking the ring station was badass

Maybe that’s why he just defensively sliced him, rather than stabbed him a bunch of times. More reflex than intent to kill.

Re: The Expanse (Books / SyFySeries)
Does anyone watch this show without having read the books?
I was watching the battle between the Roci and the Pella, and my family was in the room. They didn't say anything, but I was wondering if they understood at all what was happening.
Torpedos fire. PDCs shoot them down. Ship spins and takes a shot with the rail gun. More torpedos. More PDCs.
Does any of this make sense to someone who hasn't read through a battle scene in the book?

Re: The Expanse (Books / SyFySeries)
I haven’t read the books. For me, it’s the visual aspect. All the ships look too samey, like Transformers do in the live action movies. I wouldn’t be able to pick the Roci out of a lineup.B wrote:Does anyone watch this show without having read the books?
