LTRP is significantly better (I think) than Big Wave and Supersonic--the two tracks it makes the most sense to compare it to.

i think (and i hope) that Stone is using the Way Huge Green Rhino overdrive. His sound it is more aggressive in this record.

It's a glam rock song? Without any glam? Which is what it was going for yes, but why does it have to sound so chee-zay in the process?
Even so i don't know why cheesy glam rock is a style they're going for in any capacity.
It's not even dirty glam rock. Wheres the glitter, sweat and coke huh?The party this dudes having sounds lame as fuck.

Why choose? I think I will just download all formatsCoach wrote:I'm going to order the 10C Lightning Bolt CD and download today.
Do I choose Apple Lossless? I just want something that will go into iTunes easily, and I figure I'm getting the CD for my car anyway, so I'll have good sound there.
Next to flac, is Apple Lossless the next best choice?
Chud?

Marc Bolan and T.Rex glam rather than Shadow / Stryper glam. Sixties / seventies. Yeah, the clothes and glitter would be cool, and this is just a dipping of the toes into a genre so it could've been better, but I think it's more "Ride a White Swan" than deep and dirty blues.stupidmop wrote:It's a glam rock song? Quite a bit of footage/pics over the last few years of Eddie's new ("fixer"-up-er) hang out house on water. Interesting to see him so less private and sheltered.

I think LTRP is better than BW for making less of a statement. BW makes an embarrassing statement in a very unforgettable way. LTRP says something slightly less embarrassing (some dude (God?) gets drunk at the end of the world) and in quite a forgettable, plain way.

My mind sings a part of Green Disease there. ("I guess there's nothing wrong with what you say")jtr101 wrote:Juvenal wrote:I bet those who haven't heard the prior leak are jizzing themselves over that LTRP verse. Alas, the chorus is going to shit on its fist and punch you in the face.
Hahahaha yeah the main riff is rather catchy and then Shania comes in and takes over.

Why does it make sense to compare it to "Big Wave"?stip wrote:LTRP is significantly better (I think) than Big Wave and Supersonic--the two tracks it makes the most sense to compare it to.
And I don't think it's better than "Big Wave". Probably better than "Supersonic".

I still like Big Wave more as well, but why does any song have to be 'better' than any other song?Thejambi wrote:Big wave is better than LTRP. By a lot.
