I've tried several times over the years, with varying degrees of dedication, to really get into Neil. What always stops me, I think, is that I just don't like his voice. This thread spurred me to put on Mirrorball today and I didn't make it all the way through, even knowing I'm listening largely to Pearl Jam, because I didn't want to hear him sing anymore.

Agreed. Imagine a song like I'm The Ocean with Eddie Vedder on vocals.

Fallen Angel is a perfect way to close a magnificent album.

the authority of all things, wikipedia, says it's a neil young album. it looks like some randos from pearl jam were mere session musicians.

Despite not loving Neil's voice, I have listened to I'm the Ocean several times over the past couple days. Had forgotten how great that is.

Love this album. Haven't listened to it in a while, but after reading this it'll be playing at work

. Always loved Love Truth Be Known, but there definitely isn't a bad song on this album, IMO....

I believe the record companies wouldn’t allow the album to be credited as “Neil Young and Pearl Jam”
