My step dad liked Hitchcock we watched Vertigo, Rear Window, The Birds and Psycho one weekend. Jesus I think it was 1989.

Seen 25 Hitchcock movies. The most famous films I have not seen are Suspicion, The Trouble With Harry, Lifeboat and Saboteur.

Rebecca and Rope are high on my list. But the next one I have to see is The Trouble With Harry.

I've said it before but I have this game I play where I only watch a Hitchcock movie I haven't seen if it comes up organically in several different places in my life. So, The Trouble With Harry has to be the next one.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The Wrong Man is a very interesting movie. True story.

The 39 Steps and The Lady Vanishes are the best of his really old movies.

Notorious and Rebecca are great, but should probably be considered among his ten most famous movies.

I did a similar run on Criterion last month and this month; I'd seen most of the heavy hitters (Vertigo, Rear Window, The Birds, Psycho, North by Northwest), but hadn't seen nearly as much of the earlier stuff. I'd agree that The Lady Vanishes was a fun one, I also watched 39 Steps, Sabotage, Shadow of a Doubt and Foreign Correspondent; the latter was a particularly fun one I'd never really heard much about, and interesting to think about in terms of it's plot and the time period in which it was made. But I found that even the lesser ones were at the least a fun watch.

Non Stop.

Well, its a Neeson action flick. I appreciate to see him as a fucked up hero, and the inclusion of Julianne Moore is always welcome. It might be a little long because half way there, it kinda lost me.

The Humans.

Jeez, that was intense as fuck. I liked it a lot, the cast is great and Jenkins deserves any kind of nomination. I appreciate how it was translated fro theatre to a more cinematic approach. Im not sure about the last "twist", it was just too much, but the last scene in the house belonged to a cool horror movie.

Great flick.

No, how was it ? I read the movie is way more claustrophobic and a downer.
