Re: Russia
Is there typically consequences for workers in America from the countries in question if a war breaks out? I know a few Russians here on visas.

Re: Russia
Obviously speaking from behind the blinders of my own experience, and leaving aside things like the human cost, but going to war right now would be an unbelievably fucking funny thing for the Biden admin to do. I cannot think of something that the American public gives less of a shit about than what Russia does in the Ukraine.

We don't seem to be making serious preparations for direct US involvement, but stupider things have happened.Mickey wrote:Obviously speaking from behind the blinders of my own experience, and leaving aside things like the human cost, but going to war right now would be an unbelievably fucking funny thing for the Biden admin to do. Re: Russia
Going to war with Russia (US and NATO tropps on the ground) is too dangerous. But there needs to be serious financial consequences for Russia if they do a full invasion of Ukraine, including Kiev. Far further than what happened with Donbass and Crimea. It will be the end of the non cold war decades in the NATO/US - Russia relationship since the end of the Soviet Union.
