i feel its way more different than Lost. The island stuff and the possible weird thing happening in there are pretty much the only things in common.

1883 the Yellowstone prequel. Few eps in and it's fantastic. The voice over is ridiculous but the rest is excellent. Much better than Yellowstone which I watch and enjoy for reasons that escape me because it isn't particularly good and I would never ever recommend it but I like it all the same.

We watched the first episode last night. Will give it a few more as everyone says it gets better, but that first episode was rough.

we just happen to disagree on the merits of a tv show

I appreciate that.

But I don't know, man. I find the show really complicated and rewarding. There's so much going on. For me it requires full attention. And then I find myself unpacking it for hours after watching.

Just different tastes and brain operations, I suppose.

But I do think of you as one of our brightest and most thoughtful posters here in A&E. So maybe I'm overthinking the show.

It is really well shot. And the overall tone/mood/atmosphere is fantastic. Right up my alley.
