I'm hoping infallible is kinda like No Way, cause that's what it reminded me of. On that same note, I was listening to No Way earlier and wondered whether ed could pull of that same measured kinda subtly weird delivery today. I'm thinking no.

I kind of don't think he has any reason to make anything "weird" today. Which makes me very intrigued about what the apparently "weird" tracks on this album will sound like vocally.

I doubt these songs are anything super 'weird'. They'll probably just be not straight forward rock. Someone even Saud infallible turns into a typical ed anthem, whatever that means.

The only song that might be weird delivery wise is MFS, but then not all the reviewers have mentioned/ noticed ed sounding odd (or like stone ) so maybe not.

And I don't think no way is especially weird...just kinda different lol. It's one if my favourite studio performances from ed.

The reviews that didn't notice his voice being different aren't from fans. So I just guessed that the other reviewers just didn't have any expectations about how Ed was / wasn't "meant" to sound. So they just went yeah, that works or whatever.

LTRP is significantly better (I think) than Big Wave and Supersonic--the two tracks it makes the most sense to compare it to.

Why does it make sense to compare it to "Big Wave"?

And I don't think it's better than "Big Wave". Probably better than "Supersonic".

We won't know until we have the album, but I'm guessing because of the "obligatory fun song / worst song on the album" function it's going to have.

They seem to be more casual cool down songs that kick off the final sequence on the records.

I like LTRP quite a bit. If it is the worst song on the record I'll be thrilled.

Same here. And yeah, it looks like it begins the more bluesy / folky ending. The album generally looks intelligently put together.

I'm a fan of the artwork, but not as cover art, just seems too similar to BS and I prefer something real life, like an avocado.

I'm just a bit concerned that our 4 "weird songs" have turned into 2, based on the last couple of reviews. The album's going to feel pretty imbalanced if there are only 2 tracks which are dark and adventurous.
