He said he was coming back immediately after hoisting the trophy last year, probably already knowing the league would schedule a Bucs/Pats tilt. I wonder if he’d be quick to commit to next season if the Pats had won that game.

Out of conference opponents are known well in advance. You play a different division every year, so he knew he'd have a chance to beat the Pats/all 32 teams. He wouldn't have another shot at them for 4 years, unless they met in the SB.spike wrote:He said he was coming back immediately after hoisting the trophy last year, probably already knowing the league would schedule a Bucs/Pats tilt. Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I mean, I guess we all have big and small goals. Brady's achieved all the big goals. So it makes sense that a decision like retirement would hang on a small goal.... but it seems kinda stupid to me. I guess if he had been the only one to do it, fine. But otherwise...

I’ll be the judge of my own intellectual prowess, thank you very much.spike wrote:Intellect would lead one to surmise there is a closer to 50/50 chance of winning any match.
What you’re describing is emotional, the opposite of intellect.

Although what I’m reading is the decision is coming soon. Not that he’s retiring, just that he’s letting us know. Fingers crossed
