Oh that's a tough one, Malloy. Mostly because I don't watch too many westerns. I would have to think hard about it, but it would need to have a score that matches the landscape and leave me feeling a long way from home. I think I would like a western like that. Maybe Dead Man?

Nah.
I am tempted to put a Jason Schwartzman film on my list, but the obvious one would be Rushmore and if I had a Wes Anderson movie on the list it would be Tenenbaums, so Rushmore would miss out. Too few spots in a top 25 for multiple films to make it from the same director.

In that case, if I really needed Schwartzman on there, I'd honestly no lie probably put Klaus in the top 25.

I think I'd put A Band Apart over Breathless. 400 Blows would beat out both if it came to it though.

To interject on the Westerns question, The Proposition would be on mine.

I didn't realize The Royal Tenenbaums is your favorite WA joint. We are the same in this regard.

I haven't seen any of them in years, but I suspect I'd still put the two Godard over 400 Blows. And I loved Band of Outsiders, the scene of them dancing in the cafe is still vivid in my mind. I wouldn't be surprised if I ranked that above Breathless, too
