It can be a feature on FURIOUS! 2: The Ghost of FURIOUS! though. That would be a fun idea for that forum.

I was thinking something more benign. By posting "unbump" after a "bump," both posts remain, but the thread is moved back to the spot in the forum it was before the bump.

Would the new post notification still light up? If so, this would accomplish nothing for a forum-to-forum browser like myself and many others.

No, it would disappear. The unbump would undo the thread's newness, but delete no posts
