I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Ted Lasso’s Goldstein Sets Warner TV Deal

Image

Brett Goldstein, who plays the foul-mouthed Roy Kent in Apple TV+ smash hit series “Ted Lasso,” has signed an exclusive overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.

Goldstein will develop, create, write and produce new TV projects for the studio. Warners TV also produces “Ted Lasso” for Apple and Goldstein has penned multiple episodes of that show.

“Ted Lasso” star Jason Sudeikis has been open about a three-season plan for the series and, should it conclude, Goldstein is a natural fit for a potential spin-off.

I didn't know he was a writer and producer on the show.

Yeah, apparently they were having issues casting Roy for the show and they all just realized he would be perfect for the role.

It would definitely be a different show. But make some slight adjustments in tone and I think it could really work. Really comes down to the writing team, I think.
