Yeah I could see they were pointing him that way. Don't have any issue with it. He's fairly new with no history of relationships so it doesn't contradict anything. No biggie. Still mad at Bendis for aging him so fast but whatever.

I’ve actually picked up the I Am Batman and Batman: Imposter books lately. I haven’t read them yet, tho.

That Kang book is pretty good.

Just finished the new Reckless book by Brubaker/Phillips. These guys are at the top of their game. The undisputed best creative team in comics right now.

The current featured article at Wikipedia is Batman: A Death in the Family, I still recall picking up that TPB decades ago and Batman holding Todd hitting me.

I would like to have seen this:
Bruce Timm and Paul Dini considered adapting "A Death in the Family" for Batman: The Animated Series (1992–1999), but decided it was too violent. Instead, they omitted the Todd character and incorporated some of his characteristics in Drake

BurtReynolds wrote:On a whim I bought a shit ton of 1980's Uncanny X-Men comics.

- I forgot how grim they were. The X-men are constantly getting their asses kicked by everyone, and mutants die in droves. It's great.

- They are a lot slower than I remember, but this isn't a complaint. Kinda nice.

- too much soap opera stuff, but that's Clairemont.

- I wonder if it's still possible to get comics printed like this (4 color process on shitty newsprint). I want to make a comic that looks exactly like this.

- The 80s were superior to all other decades.

well fuck a duck. finally found something burt and i can agree on

the mutant massacre really set up the outback years. i remember going to plaza news and picking up those xmen and xfactor issues. silvestri has always been one of my favorite artists on xmen (and especially wolverine) and is neck n neck with byrne for me as the best

The new Gotham City: Year One title is a LOT of fun. One of the best books I’ve read from DC or Marvel in a long time.

Gun Honey continues to entertain.

The Reckless series of OGNs from Brubaker/Phillips continue to prove why they’re the premiere writer/artist team in comics. Truly one of the great collaborations of the medium.

Silvestri has a new Batman book coming out sometime this month. I’ve long been a fan of his. I love that he wears his John Buscema influence on his sleeve.
