Unfortunately, after the Whoopi fiasco, the ADL can only muster an interim definition of racism, so for now everyone and no one is a racist, until such time as they can replace the definition with something that benefits the left's political agenda again.

Everyone? Even … dare I say it … Ibram Kendi who decries capitalism as racist yet sells books in a capitalist economy amassing million$ in net worth? Even him??
3 pages of discussion about Rogan saying the N-word and nobody has posted his apology.
“Hello friends. I’m making this video to talk about the most regretful and shameful thing that I’ve ever had to talk about publicly,” said Rogan in a clip posted to his Instagram account. “There is a video that’s out that is a compilation of me saying the N-word. I know that to most people, there is no context where a white person is ever allowed to say that word, nevermind publicly on a podcast, and I agree with that now. I haven’t said it in years.”
Rogan went on to say, “for a long time, when I would bring that word up, like if it were to come up in conversations, instead of just saying the ‘N-word,’ I would just say the word. I thought as long as it were in context, people would understand what I was doing.”
It sounds pretty reasonable to me and in line with him being a libertarian and a bit of an idiot (find me a libertarian who isn't)
Maybe he's a racist, but I don't think this really stands as proof.
It's incredible to me how many people think he should face "consequences" (that they are never very clear on) for "spreading misinformation". The very idea is utterly abhorrent to me. Frankly, you have a right to lie to people. The whole "platforming liars" argument is an instant loser for me. I don't grant anyone the authority to determine for me who is lying.
The world is made up mostly of little wannabe tyrants who want nothing but submission from their fellow man. I would fucking hate them with every fiber of my being, but luckily for them I've been reading a lot of Spinoza lately and I'm trying to keep an adequate understanding of God/Nature!

Lucky in terms of you won’t shoot them? Or in that they won’t be the subject of your quietly harbored contempt?

Lucky that they won't have to face my look of contempt and revulsion at their herd animal fear of freedom.
The American fear of the "n-word" (and it's so comical that I have to type that out to avoid being burned at the stake by the frenzied crowd) is as absurd as the wizards of Hogwarts fear of saying "Voldemort" or some 17th century peasant's fear of uttering blasphemy. It's remarkable that this insane superstition has become so palpably real in our society, and that the word's mere utterance, regardless of context, manifests a real demon (a racist) in the world. Truly one of the last true "curse" words.
In any case, I think there's a clear difference between using the word ("nigger") as an attack and using it as part of an anecdote or to discuss the use of the word itself. Seems disingenuous to me to pretend otherwise. That said, enough black people have spoken about it being hurtful (in public and in my personal life) that I'm like okay, I get it, that's not a hill I'm gonna die on
I dislike Rogan for a number of small reasons. The "Planet of the Apes" thing seems pretty damning. That said, I'd be very surprised if this affected him in a serious way. Spotify made a major investment with him and he is a huge draw numbers-wise

Plenty of Black people don't think Black people should use it.
A lot of complaining about whether or not you have permission to use the n-word. I'm not convinced that what s_s and Burt want is permission. They want to be able to say it without people thinking they are racist assholes.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
