Re: The Book of Boba Fett - Disney+ 2021
The CEO of Disney + tweeted that obi wan is coming in May.
And deleted the tweet seconds later.
I’d say we’re getting a trailer for obi wan in May. And they’ll keep the series until Christmas

Not sure about that. The obi wan series takes place prior to Mando and Boba, not sure why they’d have an end credit scene for itGot Some wrote:Can I guess we will know more about a release

If you’re getting any trailer at the end credits for the final boba, for a new series? It might be the Luke series

Re: The Book of Boba Fett - Disney+ 2021
They clearly want the Star Wars to be Marvel now. And that's fine, I've made my peace with that (this mando-verse is really coming together nicely!). But can we not do end credit scenes all the time? Just wrap up this season. We don't need any kind of tease for anything forthcoming.

Re: The Book of Boba Fett - Disney+ 2021
Completely agree. I wasn’t saying I wanted that.
Just the way they dropped the reveal For the boba series at the end of mando, tells us they have previous form for it.
And LFL do tend to use the same methods when it comes to marketing.
It’s a long time until May 4th-which is a Wednesday notably. And Star Wars celebration
They’re very likely to give us some kinda teaser or whatever, before then. Gotta keep those subscriber numbers coming in and all that. (Cynical but true)

Re: The Book of Boba Fett - Disney+ 2021
As fun as all these appearances/reveals have been in real time, I do wonder what the replay value of all of this is gonna be when the surprise factor isn't there anymore. Once the Mando-verse is fleshed out, will these episodes be able to stand up on their own? Once we know everything will the things discussed be meaningful? There's so much to unpack, especially with Luke and Grogu and Ahsoka right now. As the pieces are revealed will it help or hurt the overall episode?
Be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

I dont have any desire to rewatch Mando at all. But i guess that question is not for me, being that i havent even saw these series too.
But i dont think they got enough reply value at all.

Re: The Book of Boba Fett - Disney+ 2021
Yeah, but like you said, you aren't invested in this at all. I'm more thinking about the people that are SUPER invested and doing 3 hour long podcasts about what it all means. I love reading and hearing all this discussion. It's exciting as all hell to me. I have a ton of questions and thematic ponderings. I love hearing folks break it all down and hash it out. But so much of it hinders on things we don't know. What happens when we have the whole picture?VinylGuy wrote:I dont have any desire to rewatch Mando at all. There's a really good chance that the Mandoverse does for the ST what The Clone Wars animated series did for the PT. But like The Clone Wars, how many people are gonna go back and watch Mando/Boba? The lore stuff is my favorite stuff, so of course, I'm enjoying the hell out of this right now.
But I just wonder what I'll think 5 or 10 years from now. Will the warts shine brighter than the spectacle? I fear, maybe.

Re: The Book of Boba Fett - Disney+ 2021
Im thinking they will be good remembered but thats about it.
Also the SW model is changing so much, they are making more series and less movies it seems...and its going to be hard for those movies to become an event like they used to.
The last movie failed at that, and i think those guys know it and thats why the gap might be longer for movies.

Re: The Book of Boba Fett - Disney+ 2021
Star Wars really lends itself to the modern TV model, too. I think putting the focus there is smart and will ultimately be very rewarding. And I don't think that means the movies will be less of an event. In fact, the opposite could be true. The movies might mean even more.VinylGuy wrote:Im thinking they will be good remembered but thats about it.
