Also the SW model is changing so much, they are making more series and less movies it seems...and its going to be hard for those movies to become an event like they used to.

The last movie failed at that, and i think those guys know it and thats why the gap might be longer for movies.
Star Wars really lends itself to the modern TV model, too. I think putting the focus there is smart and will ultimately be very rewarding. And I don't think that means the movies will be less of an event. In fact, the opposite could be true. The movies might mean even more.
I dont see a future were SW movies are a huge deal anymore. They would need to build something entirely new and exiting and i just dont see it for now.

Im happy that both Filoni and Favreau seem to be gaining more and more space in their world. They know how to make a good SW story for sure.

I'm not racist enough to enjoy the News & Debate forum, can we at least have fun over here?

But I just wonder what I'll think 5 or 10 years from now.
You'll be thinking, "Why did I ever think Disney would allow us to have the 'whole picture'?"
Jesus this is why it's fucking impossible posting here.

When we have MORE OF THE PICTURE, WHEN EVEN A FEW OF THE GAPS ARE FILLED IN, I just wonder what I'll think.

Fuck.
Just make fun of B back. Its really easy to do so.

Sure, but that's not the point. Look, it's on me. I know better.
Im not sure why B decides he just wants to be a dick in the star wars thread. He's a fumbling yet lovable idiot everywhere else.

I hope we still end up with another new SW Trilogy. I would really like that.

Are we still getting Rogue Squadron?

I thought my post was very "fumbling yet lovable idiot." The appropriate response was "yeah, yeah, fuck you, B."

Patty Jenkins is out of that movie. Probably wont happen.

I would love a new SW trilogy, but i dont want any prequel or high republic shit. I want a movie after the events of ROS.

Great question. I'm guessing no. The way that went down feels weird, like maybe we don't know (never will know?) the whole story. I'm guessing they'll pretend like it's still in development for a while. But I don't know that it's ever happening.

Based on what I've seen in the fandom, folks are really vibing on the High Republic. Could be cool to see a trilogy or series of films set in that era.

Whatever they do, I hope it's separate from the Mandoverse for now. Let that play out on TV. I think the best way to make an event movie again is to do something big and new, something you can't watch 20 hours of on your couch.

This has nothing to do with how anyone loves Star Wars. What a weird thing to say.

I really enjoyed those few years where every December we got a Star Wars movie. I wish they had kept that up. I know people thought it was going to over do it, but my family really enjoyed the event.

I love Star Wars so much that I hate Star Wars. So you're gonna get toss off, smart ass responses from me. They're not meant to go anywhere, but somehow, they always do.

Im glad they are taking their time with the movies. The last movie was out the same year than Endgame and it felt it didnt happened.

Also, i hope they get the whole story of the trilogy before they make the movies. Thats why getting Filoni and Favreau is a smart choice. And then get new filmmakers to do it.

I agree with joe, leave Mando in tv, and make something new after the events of the last movie.

TROS is the end, they have thousands of years of prequels they can do.
