Re: Wrigley Field - July 19
so you guys think this lottery system is worth the membership prices? i know it's not fair to ask that questions when one US show has been announced since the new system.. but after hearing about a few bros who have been shut out of a hometown show, I'm not so sure.

Re: Wrigley Field - July 19
I don't think the field is GA. GA is exclusively Ten Club, and based on what I have been reading at the Pit, it will be about 10 people. I think most of the field will be seated. I also think the show will sell out. This show feels like an event akin to PJ20, the Gorge, etc. I also believe getting in the house will not be an issue for anyone who shows up willing to pay face and sit in the upper deck.verb_to_trust wrote:With the field opened up for GA...yeah, its a pretty big show. I'd be surprised if it sells out, actually.Birds in Hell wrote:Exactly. This place is pretty big, right?verb_to_trust wrote:Tickets will be pretty easy to get at the onsale. I don't see the big deal.

yeah, it'll sell out. the novelty of the venue will bring people out of the woodwork who only cared about pj once upon a time, along with loud idiots who just want to get drunk like it's a cubs game.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bummed out (it will probably be worse if I do get public sale tickets and then see where I used to sit... I think the closest I've ever been was London in 2005 when I was 5th row) but its hard to argue against this system... It's clearly more fair for everyone.evenslow wrote:You Canadians are so nice.Tass Man wrote:Lost out on London... First time I've been shut out for 10c tix in 15 years... I guess it was a good run while it lasted. Hope I can get public on sale tickets
I'm not the type of person that thinks because I've been a member since '97 I'm more deserving of getting tickets than someone who recently joined (I'm just more deserving of better seats

I got GAs and I consider myself very lucky also. It was the only thing I selected in the draw.
I did win 2nd row for Philly #4 too though so I'm kind of on a streak.

Did anyone get emails saying the did NOT get tickets? I got the email saying I did for London, but I didn't get anything saying I lost out on Wrigley even though my 10c tickets page says that I did.

1. Lower reserved <----- won
2. Upper reservered
So, what are we seeing here so far? About 60-65 percent of people getting at least one of their choices?

I got lower reserved. Sooooo...how long until they announce the second night "due to unprecedented demand"?

Scored for on the field. Stoked. I'd like to believe this will make up for not going to the Spectrum. Who's ready to hear Someday We'll Go All The Way in concert?
I might be able to get to an E-bow.

If I had to guess:
London will be like Benny
Wrigley will be like Spectrum 4
So you may get your wish.

It's funny how alot of people over at the pit and pj fans in general are discounting the london show. You never know what mood the band is in and what they want to play the day of the show. I remember in 2003 when ten club needed to get people to switch from MSG 2 to holmdel. I was one of those that took the switch and still got into MSG 2. Holmdel BLEW away the msg 2 show that year. If london does that this year, I can see some fans, especially those at the pit, completely losing there minds.

Lottery is fine. In the old system you could get shut out in your hometown too. Every TC member has the same right to get TC-tickets. Which means everybody should have the same odds. And this is what happens in a lottery. End of story.
But: I`m not sure whether TC - Management is able to do a fair drawing. I`m not sure but from my thinking it must not happen that some get shut out while others get their 2nd choice. (If GA wasnt your 1st priority)

I honestly cannot figure out why any of you pay for membership anymore. What does it actually get you? I didn't feel like I got much besides ticket access when it was $15.evenslow wrote:nightmare scenario for an ardent fan. that blows.tooch wrote:1. GA --Lost

I live in chicago, my member number is 132xxx, so this lottery sure has helped a long time member get tickets to a hometown show! glad my $40 membership fee gets me a tshirt

Re: Wrigley Field - July 19
G2T had it right, we stay in the 10c because they have a monopoly on the good seats at PJ concerts. And IMHO, prior to this lotto bullshit, they were pretty easy to get. If the fall tour lottery turns out like everyone expects it to, I suspect there will be lots of people leaving the club.

Yeah, if that turns out to be a boondoggle, I won't be renewing. I think a lot of fans, myself included, are also really kidding themselves into the belief that PJ will perform multiple fan club only shows someday.broken iris wrote:G2T had it right, we stay in the 10c because they have a monopoly on the good seats at PJ concerts.
