Maybe the topic of the song Lightning Bolt is the album Lightning Bolt and every fan is the narrator of the song.

This is good stuff. You get some insightful stuff from them. No "gossip" or "dirt", it's all very nicey nice, but Carrie Brownstein is an extremely intelligent woman and knows what a fellow musician may want to talk about. In the very beginning, they seem to have their guard up like they typically do in interviews, then they open up in a nice real way. Very worthwhile stuff for any fan.

I look forward to the other interviews. This is way better than a vast majority of press done through the main press outlets. Take this stuff and a nice meaty LB-focused interview by someone like Jonathen Cohen and I'd be more than happy.

I've passed over the leak, but I've watched all the vignettes so far; in combination w/ the 2 singles, I'm really liking how this is sounding so far. :nice:

I would much prefer these types of interviews with their friends than the traditional, cliche ridden interviews with the music press.

I was surprised they gave us 10 different videos for Carrie's interview alone. Nothing earth-shattering here, but definitely enjoyable and makes me look forward to the other three.

Yes, way way better. They're actually alive and awake and present, for once during this interview. This is a band which typically gives very crappy interviews. Mike is surprisingly much more articulate than usual, Jeff isn't blowing off the interview. Matt is one of the more interesting people interview-wise in the band, I'm always game for hearing more from him. There's 10 clips so lots of stuff. Assuming Ed turns up in the future interviews, my expectations are very low. He's a horrible interview. Bravo to Carrie, job well done.

I always enjoy listening to Stone, 'cuz I'm pretty much already as "corny dad" as he is.

The last interview with Ed, though small, gave the most insightful stuff we've heard from them so far imo.

Eds a lot better at interviews recently. Than he used to be anyway. I'm assuming these ones will be ok, since its friends doing the interviewing. I still expect a lot of "its like a wave you know" though lol.

Haven't seen these yet, I'm looking forward to hearing matt talk, we never usually get much with him.

I amused me that on SVT, it's Stone talking about the wave. It's like the stock metaphor for Eddie and the Pearl Jams.
