Eddie Vedder - Earthling

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

The Haves - i'll definitely be hearing this in my walgreens looking for the children's Tylenol wondering if I should stick around a little longer for Nelly Furtado's I'm Like a Bird.

I like Amongst the Waves. It’s okay to like Amongst the Waves. I do think it could have been way better with Josh Evans producing it though.

Chris, maybe you should be writing for the front page.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

It’s still terribly tone deaf and missed the mark. You think this elderly couple have more than the haves coz they have each other? I’m pretty sure they’d like to have a roof over their head, healthcare, a dignified life. I know what Eddie is trying to say, but if you’re going to point out the beauty of loyal love in spite of hardships, then fucking do it. The lyrics don’t get at that. They are clumsy as hell. It’s still a shit song. .
I thought they were just old. Now they’re old AND homeless?!? Tough go.
Wait, didn’t someone say they were homeless? Am I just making that up??? Pretty sure they’re double amputees though.

Picture - this is one of the best things eddie has done solo (except it's a duet). it's different and doesn't feel forced. i really like this.

I haven't read through this thread at all. I assume, this being RM, people are pretty uninterested in the record. I imagine posts ranging from "not my thing" to "I had to shut it off after 2 minutes."

I've only listened to it once front to back. Pretty strong first impression, though. Everything after The Haves is fucking fire! :bammer:

The back half of this thing is absolutely great.

It's so good!

And what a treat/surprise On My Way is. Such a cool little coda/remix/mashup/reprise thing to end the album.
