And ed has been copying him ever since! It all makes sense. Every one wants to be like the Stoney Pony.
so stone is the problem
It was Stone. It's always Stone.
I think we've been trough this a couple of 100 pages ago. No matter what goes on with the band is Stone's DNA all over the place. Even all those songs "that belong on an Ed solo record" are filled with Stone's DNA. It isn't avoidable.
You might have to elaborate. Stone sweats / wanks all over Ed songs?
You'd have to ask the guy who was complaining about all your negative posts. He educated us on the issue.
Oh that! I thought I'd heard about Stone's DNA somewhere.

Wow, this was a simple assessment. I almost fell off my chair when I read it.

I remember the same sense of excitement around the backspacer clips.

And we all know how that turned out.

A thallus it was 'I heard it and its not the great' but fair play to your recall.
Wish I was able to remember such trivia so vividly almost 5 years later

No "gossip" or "dirt", it's all very nicey nice, but Carrie Brownstein is an extremely intelligent woman and knows what a fellow musician may want to talk about. In the very beginning, they seem to have their guard up like they typically do in interviews, then they open up in a nice real way. Very worthwhile stuff for any fan.

I look forward to the other interviews. This is way better than a vast majority of press done through the main press outlets. Take this stuff and a nice meaty LB-focused interview by someone like Jonathen Cohen and I'd be more than happy.
I would much prefer these types of interviews with their friends than the traditional, cliche ridden interviews with the music press.
Yes, way way better. They're actually alive and awake and present, for once during this interview. This is a band which typically gives very crappy interviews. Mike is surprisingly much more articulate than usual, Jeff isn't blowing off the interview. Matt is one of the more interesting people interview-wise in the band, I'm always game for hearing more from him. There's 10 clips so lots of stuff. Assuming Ed turns up in the future interviews, my expectations are very low. He's a horrible interview. Bravo to Carrie, job well done.
The last interview with Ed, though small, gave the most insightful stuff we've heard from them so far imo.
Matt's a good interview. When he's allowed to talk, he can go into detail about exactly how a song is concieved and how it is developed and recorded. He's got a good memory like that, where someone like Jeff won't remember the details that a fan wants to hear. He likes to get into that stuff, and it would be great if he's allowed that chance to talk about it, cause I think the hardcore fans would enjoy it.
