I didn't love the stripped take on 'One Beat' but unlike some comments I've seen from old fans I don't mind them trying this kind of stuff.joostone wrote:
God I love 'One Beat' (the song and the album) - I'm going to put it on now

I thought about going to the show at Schubas but I wasn't super impressed with the new stuff with Spencer and apparently the bands are mask nazisMadTIGERmaN wrote:Was at the Quasi/Jon Spencer show last night in Milwaukee (in which Quasi doubled as Jon Spencers backing band)
fuck have I missed Janet on the drums. Quasis set, albeit shorter since they were the opening band (and, playing 2 sets) was SO INTENSE!
The new songs were really good, cant wait for the new album thats coming at some point.
Anyone who loves Janet as a drummer really needs to see her live with Quasi. For as much as I love Sleater-Kinney, shes so much better drumming with Sam / Quasi.

I think this last album is my favorite of the 3 post hiatus albums.Leatherhead wrote:Ya know I'm unfuckable, unlovable, unlistenable, unwatchable.
