SOLAT defeated Hitchhiker 375 votes to 19 in the (TSIS) 2006 tournament. It also smashed Dirty Frank 40 - 4 in 2015. Hitchhiker has never been matched against Dirty Frank.
Hitchhiker has an average of 9 votes per tournament, Dirty Frank 17, SOLAT 93.

Wait, there was a time where over 390 people voted in a single matchup?

Hitchhiker. But it's close. I like all three of these songs a lot.

As the years go by, I've definitely grown to enjoy "Hitchhiker” more. It's no longer a forgettable throwaway song. Does it come out ahead of "SoLaT"? Today, I don't think it does. But, hey, at least it beats the ever goofy "Dirty Frank."

Re: 6. Hitchhiker vs. State of Love and Trust vs Dirty Frank
"State of Love and Trust" and "Breath" were my introduction to the idea that bands could release unique music on CD's that were catalogued in an area other than the artist's designated shelf space at the store. It's hard to overstate the significance of that discovery -- it led to a brief period of spending hours at Wal-Mart, Target, etc., pouring over the tracklists of virtually every soundtrack and compilation album I could find, wondering if maybe there was an unreleased Nirvana song on, say, the A League of Their Own soundtrack. A largely fruitless, but fun, search.
Anyway, "State" is amazing. I am beyond happy that there are people voting for "Hitchhiker," but I can't be one of them today.
