Eddie Vedder - Earthling

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

A bit much what? Seems like a really kind, thoughtful guy.

I hear a lot of similarities to Comatose, particularly a trick both songs use where everything drops out but the guitar and voice. It feels like the most overtly PJ-esque song on the record.

Andrew Watt and Josh Klinghoffer are living this David's ultimate dream. Good on 'em both. :hooray:

*Relatively speaking
The answer is to just keep turning this music up very loud and dancing until your hearing is as bad as eds.

I don't know why hearing Ed count in at the beginning of RoJ gives me so much joy. All the feels.

Yes sets the right tone.

What's that that someone is screaming in the background right at the end of the song? Can't make it out.

Had a cool listen today while resting upon a great looking lake. I really like this album. Ed sounds great and there are a few songs that sound absolutely urgent and intense.

Love

Brother The Cloud ( that ending is pure Pj bliss)
Rose Of Jericho ( kinda sounds one of those songs Ed did back in the day with Supersuckers or Bad Religion)
Good and Evil ( i love this one. Intense as fuck, and Ed sounds so fucking good. Its 1992 Ed)
Try ( damn, is this the best thing Stevie is done since...1980?. Also sounds like a mix between X and Bad Religion)
Fallout Today (REM meets PJ circa 2002 maybe? )

Very good

The Dark ( Springsteen meets PJ)
Invincible (i would love to PJ to try this one. Uplifting as fuck)
Power Of Right ( kinda love the guitars, that bridge and Ed delivery)
Long Way (that chorus is sticky as hell)
Mrs Mills ( I love the melody and Ed´s delivery)

Good and fun

Picture (i like this one, but its just too Elton for me. I love the ending tough)

Ugh

The Haves ( tough i have to say i cant seem to stop singing this one for some reason. Fuck you Ed)

On My Way is a great little experiment and a very moving one. I adore it.

Swap Invincible and Brother the Cloud and this is pretty much where I'm at.

I think it's Ed's raspy old voice for sure.

I actually tried this thing, but you have to hold a dot on your phone over some dots in augmented reality to hear the messages. It's nearly impossible to hold you phone still enough, so I get partial messages, and they're just you're average Eddie Vedder fans saying a weird, Eddie-Vedder-fan thing.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

It's Chad, pretty clearly.

Love that song, but I'm fixated on why they copy/pasted the fill from the middle of the song (before the drum/vocal bridge) where Chad gets tripped up on his sticks as the intro.

Just finished listening to that, and, the whole time, I was just wishing he'd actually ask a question instead of trying to "hang." Very needy dude.
