Finishing up season 1 of Pen15. I don't laugh out loud very often at comedic things even when I find them hilarious, but I have so many times with this. Something about the slightly exaggerated expressions, body movements, etc...kill me. Some well earned touching moments also.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Does it trend more on the dramatic side? I felt season 1 did as it went.

This part might be innocuous, but I keep thinking about Sam ripping down the Dustin and Brandt loves Maya signs on the lockers. Makes me a bit emotional tbh.

I think it heightens both the drama and the comedy. It just gets to be stronger in everything it does.

The Simpsons Season 1. I haven't seen Season 1 since I was a kid because I only bought the DVD box sets starting with 2, but these very early episodes are much better than I realized.

Lost Season 5. The first 4 episodes are not very good. Just spinning wheels.
