I really like some of the ad-libbing choices Ed is making lately

Gorgeous song.

I love the production on the soundtrack. Suits the songs real well. Intimate.

Your consistency is impressive. Oscar worthy, even.

First time I heard this I felt that the Cat Power songs were the strongest. Now I mostly want to skip them if I hear the full album, and removed them from the Eddie Vedder setlist I've got stored. Tender Mercies however, is a real highlight. Better than at least half the songs on Earthling.

For me, one of the things that initially drew me to Ed's singing was the ad-libs. It's all over those early tracks (Alive outro, Black, Jeremy, etc.); those melodies that have no lyrics, per se, but all us diehard fans know them inside out.

Off the top of my head, I feel like there's been less of that in recent years and I wonder if it's part of the reason some of the more recent stuff up until Gigaton was a bit meh.

In high school, my girlfriend said once: "I like when he meows." But I was never able to get her to point out an exact instance of what she meant.

That is a good performance. Really shows that the songs from here, have come out at the same period for Ed.
