Walt ended his life on his own terms. He went out doing what he loved, feeling alive, rather than as a school teacher and part-time carwash employee. He always ragged on Jesse in chemistry class for not reaching his full potential, but it took 50 years and a diagnosis with cancer for Walt to reach his. So be it that that ended up coming in the form of a meth drug lord.

The massacre at the end happened real fast so I didn't quite grasp Todd's reaction or what exactly he said. Did he think Walt was on his side or something?

In the song, the unnamed cowboy narrator falls in unrequited love with a Mexican girl named Felina in the border town of El Paso, Texas, only to kill one of her suitors out of jealously. The gunslinger flees to “the badlands of New Mexico,” and when he returns to El Paso, he sneaks past a group of lawmen to the bar where Felina would dance. The song ends as Felina puts a bullet in the narrator’s heart, but she kisses him on the cheek one last time before he dies.

Felina is the name of the final episode

Did you hear and see the Marty Robbins tape fall out onto the seat???

Excellent

When Walt tells Eliot, "if its gonna go that way, you better get a bigger knife," not only was that something Mike would have said, but Walt's delivery of the line had Mike written all over it. Sounded just like him.

The use of Pick Yourself Up during the prison murders scene might be my favorite use of music in any scene, ever.

I thought the finale was just about perfect.

I think the most surprising thing about it was how un-shocking it actually was. I'm not saying it was predictable, but everything that we thought would happen (in a general sense) pretty much did. Except for the Gretchen and Elliot part. I had no idea what he was planning to do to them.

Now that Breaking Bad is over, everyone please feel free to harass netflix to add Homicide: Life on the Street to their streaming content.
