Ended up breezing through the whole thing fairly easily. Loved it.Farmer John wrote:I see there's an intermission, so I might end up watching the second half tomorrow.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Godspeed, good Farmer. That's awesome, I'm not sure I could do that. Glad you enjoyed it. I need to re-watch that sometime in the next 5 years.Farmer John wrote:Ended up breezing through the whole thing fairly easily. It's movie night with my bros. I'm sure it's going to be something terrible. Will update later. Please pray for me.

I see why it's often mentioned as one of the greatest movies of all time. Some incredible shots and sequences.

Yeah I remember feeling similarly when I saw it back in the day, though I don't remember many details.Farmer John wrote:I took little breaks, but was always eager to keep going.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:That's awesome, I'm not sure I could do that. Re: What movies are you watching?
I haven't seen Coda but Tender Bar is a frustrating movie because it has so much potential. The writing is atrocious but it's really well made. The performances are good and Clooney brings over some of the directorial tricks he picked up from the Coens when it comes to composition and shot selection. But the writing is just so bad, and it kills it

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Disagree. I've loved all the films I've seen that he's directed. Dude knows what he's doing.tragabigzanda wrote:Clooney has yet to direct a killer movie. Best one was Good Night and Good Luck, but that felt very slight
