Listened to Seven O'Clock today and it's held up quite nicely. I think it's a really great composition that suffers a bit from being overloaded with words on an album that's also overloaded with words.
Alright is a cool experiment, but once the pandemic implications wore off, the song has lost some of its power.
Soon Forget will always be a nice minor song, but not much more than that.

Soon forget is both a minor song and has some misfire lyrics. I can’t remember the last time I voluntarily sat through it. I liked the ukulele gimmick though
It’s been a while since I heard alright. Good song, interesting music, good atmosphere, but Seven O’clock has great lyrics, a great message and is the one I am the most likely to seek out. I think it is the most Earthling of the songs on Gigaton, as an aside

Re: 41. Alright vs. Soon Forget vs. Seven Oclock
I'm one of them. I feel like I'm in a pretty affectionate place toward PJ in general right now, and I still don't really like "Alright" at all, and I have mixed feelings about "Seven O'Clock." There are parts of it I really like, and other parts that really don't work for me. (I mean, if there's one thing I hate, it's wordiness!)epilogue wrote:Soon Forget has FOUR votes??!!
"Soon Forget" is no great achievement (though I do think the chords and melody of the song are strong, and are kind of downplayed by the presentation of the song), but it's part of my lifetime PJ saga in a way that these others two just aren't.
