Re: Spoon
Listened to it while on a run today but aside from the opener and the closer (great!) I found it each song totally indistinguishable from the next.

Have the album playing in the background for the first time. I love the chorus to Wild so much.

Re: Spoon
Listened to Hot Thoughts today, and it's so much different than the new album. To be honest, I didn't care for it in the past, but today I noticed there's some really good songs on it. "Do I have to Talk You Into It" is killer.
Also listened to They Want My Soul a couple times this week. Much better than I remember (I suppose I'm biased due to new album fever). First 3 songs are great. Knock Knock Knock is great, too.
I will almost definitely end up liking this new one more than these two, though. But man, Lucifer has inspired a lot of Spoon listening, and I'm loving it.

It's hard to beat the highs of Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga and Gimme Fiction for me, and to some extent They Want My Soul, but there's not a single song I feel meh or indifferent toward on Lucifer.
I'm especially happy that "Satellite" came out so well. Would love to hear their attempts for it on They Want My Soul.
And I'm excited from recent interviews with Daniel that some of the tracks they initially recorded for Lucifer and then pushed to the side as the pandemic wore on are still going to come out.

Re: Spoon
I think my favorite back to back tracks from Spoon are I Turn My Camera On/My Mathematical Mind. If Monsieur Valentine were removed that would be a 3-track run that would rival most anything because I love The Beast and Dragon Adored.
