T.V. - Downton Abbey

Post by E.H. Ruddock »

Anyone else watch this? My wife and I are just finishing up season two, and have most of 3 recorded.

I'm a big fan of Bates.

Wife and I watch this show too. Really like it.

Makes me laugh to think about the 5-6 year old me absolutely hating these type of adult drama-opera shows when my parents turned them on (Dallas, Dynasty) and running out the room. I've become what I mocked as a child :haha:

I really liked season 1, I thought season two was good, and season three is pretty awesome so far.

Bates has annoyed me lately, but i liked him earlier in the show.

The Grandma is by far my favorite. I love her one liners, but even more so i love when she just goes hmmmm and raises and eyebrow.

That had to happen, didn't it? The actor was leaving the show.

I am 90% sure I'll love this once I get going but I just can't be bothered taking the first step.

Soon.

Oh gawd. Is this why the program is now considered a national treasure over here in the UK? I hate it and it seems to be everywhere. Even on here.

New series is great so far. But far too many modern ideas in before their time
Self sufficiency for the estate? This wouldn't have happened at the time.

Anyways. It's still great.
