SOH is also one of those songs (as opposed to Faithfull, in the context of this matchup) where the people who love it REALLY love it, but its bench of support may not be super deep.

But as the composition of the board shifts over the years and Binaural superfans are a larger percentage of the regular posters, that's probably less the case.

Me too. It's a perfect song. And while I enjoy all three of these tracks SoH is the best and most powerful to me. Really wouldn't mind SoH winning this whole thing.

I changed from Present Tense to Sleight of Hand in a preferential vote. But Present Tense is the best song here.

Sleight of Hand is great no doubt and so is Faithful. Faithful, though it has that mega bridge, might be too perfect. An overpersonification of a mid tempo Pearl Jam rocker. Present Tense has a build and that jam at the end is like a fine bottle of red wine after it’s been given the chance to breathe. No massive solo, just a band in perfect balance locked in.

I picked "Sleight of Hand" too -- the space it stakes out in PJ's catalog is completely singular, and at various times in my life it has been extremely emotionally resonant. The interplay between Mike and Stone after the second chorus gives me chills.
