Re: DC: Peacemaker
He was referencing the show and the character. Meaning if he had those powers, he would fight for peace.
Peacemaker is no Superman though, so doubt he could do much good against Russia.

Re: DC: Peacemaker
I don't think there's any read of this where it's not an absolutely craven attempt to use a war to generate attention for a middling superhero show, no matter what you think the Peacemaker character represents. When I saw this I laughed so hard I could barely breathe.

Some well meaning jingoism, that'll really help.

Like I said, he’s no Superman. Would probably make things worse.Mickey wrote:Some well meaning jingoism, that'll really help.

saw the first ep and the movie. And of course, its a joke about americans thought they need to do to achieve peace. Its a no brainer to think a real Pacemaker would be so much worse for this situation.Anders wrote:Have you seen the show?

man i hated the first ep so much i wont even try it. They are so needy of being funny and edgy they forgot to actually do a good stuff.Anders wrote:Agreed. You should see the rest of the show. Didn’t think of that. Would be weird if some tv stooge posted it. Cena is a control freak though.Mickey wrote:Oh I definitely don't think John Cena controls his own Twitter account.Anders wrote:Cena is a cool guy. Sweetheart really.

If he doesn't have an assistant do his social media he should at least pretend he does for today.Anders wrote:Didn’t think of that. Would be weird if some tv stooge posted it. Ok, I can’t remember the first episode specifically, but I laughed a lot during the later episodes especially.VinylGuy wrote:man i hated the first ep so much i wont even try it. Gave the first two episodes a try today. I'll admit I laughed pretty hard at the "the kids in junior high called me chimp arm" line.

Re: DC: Peacemaker
It does try way too hard and the hit to miss ratio on the jokes isn't always the best but when the jokes do land it can be pretty funny and it has a surprising amount of heart. I would never recommend it but I enjoyed the show a lot more than I would have thought.
