When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

Alot of times it seems Ed uses multiple muses in the same song and just kind of weaves it together as best has he can.

So is Good and Evil gross? It seems there are other examples of Ed anger being pointed directly at a person in this way.
again, i'm not a lyric person and don't really wanna hype this idea of 'eddie vs vicky cornell' but holy shit, this guy is angry at someone. i could 100% see these lyrics being about an eastern european model who married an american businessman, but wow, EV is pissed.
Good and Evil is about a women killing a Elephant then tweeting a pic. Not the Trumps
it might be but there are some similar safari stories about the trump sons that fit with the lyrics, the dour queen could be melenia.

Power of Right and Rose of Jericho ... why aren't these Pearl Jam songs? These are Pearl Jam songs.
Fallout Today, Good and Evil - pass
Picture - Better than I originally thought
Try and Mrs. Mills (and maybe Brother the Cloud) - I want more of this Eddie Vedder
what about invincible and the dark?

I don't really care for invincible. It's fine. I need to listen to The Dark again.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Every single song has grown on me. there's not a single one I don't like quite a bit, but Fallout Today hasn't moved too far beyond song I like, which is surprising. That one should be right in my wheelhouse, and isn't quite there

This.

Someone asked above if Ed writes literally -- I'm sure there's a real person or experience behind every lyric he writes, but I doubt any of his songs are 100% about a particular person or people.

I mean, Alive is the classic "autobiographical" Eddie Vedder song, but there are still lots of fictional details: the incest, the serial killer backstory, etc.

it's the thematic truth behind the songs that is what's essential. The stories he shares about what they are about or what inspired him are really just starting places for those deeper emotional truths.

That's what I had thought, as well, especially since I've been hearing "White man scared" in the first line, but I guess that's wrong.

I've been listening to this album basically every day since it was released. I'm shocked.

It could be, but I have never heard of any of the Trump lady's hunting, and the focus of the song is about a women shooting a Elephant. I remember a woman posted a pic of a Elephant maybe a few years ago and it was a notable news story.

I could be wrong it was just my assumption.
I don’t wish to stir things up either but this honestly was my immediate impression on first hearing the song. It hit me immediately! I didn’t want to raise it at the time because I was still trying to find a different meaning. After you made the comment I did a search and noticed that other people on various sites have made a connection both with comes then goes and Cornell.

I have tried very hard to find a different meaning, but I feel the lyrics throughout the entire song keep coming back to this. Obviously my interpretation could be wrong but I can’t shake that first impression and every time I look at the lyrics it only further solidifies my view.

I am loving plenty of songs on this album and don't really dislike anything (OK, I won't seek out The Haves or Long Way) but the one that I seem to want to put on repeat most often is Mrs. Mills. What a beautiful melody and such great lyrics.
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.
