I don’t think Jamie is smart enough to think long term like that. He can’t seem to get past “oh no! Something else bad has happened to me”. Now his child-mother may be another story.

And that’s just it. She came back so the child would know its father, not for any kind of romantic interest. He’s as broken a person that’s ever been on tv. How he’s not killed himself a dozen times over is remarkable.

I really don't want her to die and I'm not sure my wife will watch Season 2 if she does but it would make a lot of sense and explain why that land is so important to the family over the generations.
