The intention is obvious now.
FWIW, I don’t think the intention is to start an actual war, not even to take control of Ukraine. I think the goal is to start a new Cold War, and to leverage this display of insanity for more bargaining power in said Cold War.
Not at all.
Hes pissed Off the Chinese now it seems.
They’ve called him and told him to pull his neck in. Figuratively speaking.
I am really fucking tired of being forced to agree with Burt.

Part of the concern of leaving the Russian troops in their excercise areas in Belarus for too long was they were selling fuel and suppplies to local civilians in order to get money for food and alcohol. Possibly related.

Being Russians I'd be surprised if they didn't simply drink the gasoline.
The Baltics, Sweden, and Finland are just fine with how the Russians are recklessly deploying their elite infantry.
On the other hand, the Russians have been pretty stingy with their precision guided missiles (only 200 cruise and ballistic missles prior to tonight), so they may be rationing them in the eventuality of another conflict just after this one.
The Russians don't even have air superiority at this point. At least as of yesterday the Ukrainian airforce could still get fighters in the air. They are being pretty reckless with their soldiers lives.
Saw video of tanks that ran out of diesel. Too funny. They really thought they’d roll in there with no resistance. And the amount of ordinary people fighting them too is amazing.
