I think Low Light is the maybe the weakest song released by the band during their 'classic' ('90-'98) period, so this is Parachutes for me.

I like the studio version of lowlight so much more than the live version

I remember they went years after the release of yield not playing it. now you can’t hide from it live.

I wish Lowlight were captured differently, like with more of a Daughter/Riot Act vibe. There’s a lack of air despite the composition sounding very airy. Feels pinched and tight when it should feel expansive and loose.

That pinched feeling despite the the airy composition creates a fantastic tension that really works for me. It's exactly what the song is about. One of the reasons I adore Lowlight so much is that it sounds exactly like what it's about.

Hmm, that’s interesting. I’ll give it a spin and keep this in mind.

Come to think of it, I have no idea what Lowlight is even about. If I take the lyrics literally, it’s still a bit vague. Anybody want to share their take?

I was just listening to yield this morning. eddie takes on the same themes in come back, with more direct lyrics- it feels like it is looking at how to put your life back together in the face of loss and tragedy knowing you’ll never get back what you had
