God you're adorable.

Happy for you to detail any differences between the two. I’ll wait.

That is really for another thread, and another discussion. The two issues are clearly not identical.

What about Yemen? What about Western Sahara? What about Mindanao? What about Georgia? What about Transnistria? What about Syria? I could go on an on. They are all separate issues.

The invasion of Ukraine is a terrible crime against a free democratic nation. It must stop.

Should be expected, but still sad considering their own paychecks are now worthless.

They’re all the same though. Invading/occupying forces carrying out atrocities being met with resistance from normal people. How is it any different in Palestine? In Northern Ireland? Anywhere? And then the occupier frames those people as terrorists. Because of course.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday a Ukrainian delegation would meet with a Russian delegation "without preconditions."

Driving the news: Zelensky said on Telegram that following a conversation with Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko the two groups would meet on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, near the Pripyat River. Zelensky had previously rejected a Russian offer to meet in Belarus.

With the Russian ultimatum to meet a few days ago (no arms or soldiers in Ukraine ever, sign deal they can never go into NATO, give up occupied territories) as a starting point, an agreement seems difficult. But perhaps Putin could turn things around for him a little with a peace deal. Would also spare thousands of human lives.

Right. I read "no preconditions" to mean Putin has to be more open, not Zelensky.

Read that there is speculation in Russia, that Putin will only ask for Donbas independence, and nothing else. But difficult to trust Russian media.

Just heard that the town outside of Kherson city where my sister in law’s parents live, was recaptured by Ukrainian forces this evening, after a few days occupation by Russian forces.

In around 95% of videos I've seen of Ukrainian civilians being badass--mocking Russian soldiers, moving landmines off of roads with their bare hands, detaining ejected Russian pilots, etc.--these dudes do it all while ripping butts.
