I like Freaks. Like most early 1930s movies, time has taken its toll (even compared to the late 30s), but it’s a movie worth watching. It’s got heart and a good story.

That is always good, when a movie isn’t ruined by poor outdated attitudes. Same for westerns picturing Nstive Americans, although there as well, many movies were ahead of their time.
