It's been along time for me too but I used to love those three movies. JD would kill me. Keaton and Mathew Broderick (Wargames, Ladyhawke, Ferris Bueller) were my two go too funny guys at that time who could also do serious. They could do no wrong for me during that '83-'86 era.wease wrote:Fuck yeah. Man, it’s been at least 30 years since I saw any of those. "If I can take a moment here and I mean what I'm about to say. I feel a lot of love in this room. I don't know, maybe it's me; but, I'll tell you something. It was here a minute ago and it was really beautiful. So, at this moment, I think it's important that I see all of your breasts."epilogue wrote:Yeah, Keaton is a fantastic actor.
I feel like Nicholson riffs on this scene in Burton's original Batman as well but could be remembering something else.

The early reviews are mostly positive, if most agree it’s a bit long.

my absolute favourite (along with Batman 89 and Batman: The Movie 66); all the others have been junk to me, so this one doesn't have to do much to be my favourite ever; I'll know the week of my birthdayoasisfan35 wrote:Batman Returns is tremendous.Ms Harmless wrote:so far this looks like the first interesting Batman since Tim Burton's

the only review I care about is Chris Stuckmann's tbh and he gushed over it; I know that he doesn't talk about movies he doesn't at least appreciate anymore, but he's still not usually without criticismBiff Pocoroba wrote:The early reviews are mostly positive, if most agree it’s a bit long.

Re: Movie: The Batman (Battinson)
Im a huge Batman fan. Not only movies but comic books. I have seen every Batman movie in the theatre and while im exited to see this one, its the first time i dont feel the need to run to the theatre to see it.
It kinda happened to me with Batman Begins, but that was mainly because Batman and Robin sucked hard.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
