Green Habit runs the 2005 tournament and introduces it with the words:
In coordination with the famous NCAA March Madness in college b-ball, we will hold the 2nd Annual PJ March Madness Tournament!

Could be. My first memories of the board go back to trying to hunt down those three rumored and elusive Binaural outtakes.stip wrote:I'm sure I ran the 2010 tournament. Why isn't it counting?
I'm thinking through my history here. I started posting around Riot Act (I THINK before it came out). Tracking march madness stats was one of my first more high profile board roles before I took over song of the moments. I became a mod in the run up to S/T. So there could have been an 03/02 March Madness. Maybe I am making this up?
What about 2010?ABNorman wrote:Ah, here we go:

I haven't found the impetus of the 2010 tournament, but it was two march madness style elimination tournaments - 90s and 00s. Then a joint championship to pick the winner, which was In My Tree. Only it took place in September.Anders wrote:What about 2010?ABNorman wrote:Ah, here we go:

Sounds a bit like what Stip are doing with the previous winners this tournament.ABNorman wrote:I haven't found the impetus of the 2010 tournament, but it was two march madness style elimination tournaments - 90s and 00s. The differences here are important, though. The biggest being the removal of past winners (for now).Anders wrote:Sounds a bit like what Stip are doing with the previous winners this tournament.ABNorman wrote:I haven't found the impetus of the 2010 tournament, but it was two march madness style elimination tournaments - 90s and 00s. I just...I can't reconcile this worldview with the reality I know. That second verse is SO plodding. I'm nodding off just thinking about it.epilogue wrote:I've said it before and I'll say it again... In My Tree is my all time favorite song by any band. As brilliant and moving as Immortality is, as much as I adore Vitalogy and Immortality's place in the cannon, there simply isn't a single song I'd vote for over In My Tree.
It is the best song. And will always get my vote.
I think you’re referring to NAIS.tragabigzanda wrote:I just...I can't reconcile this worldview with the reality I know. That second verse is SO plodding. I honestly did when the album came out. But it's been years since it did anything for me.epilogue wrote:I wish you could hear the song I hear.tragabigzanda wrote:I just...I can't reconcile this worldview with the reality I know. Yes I have:ABNorman wrote: I haven't found the impetus of the 2010 tournament
I think sometime during the 2000s tournament, stip was convinced to add the 90s tournament, and then the championship.stip wrote:aprilfifth wrote:Very true. I'm not sure what it means, but it is striking.
I'll put up a post 2000 tournament in the near future and we'll find out.
