He's also leaked 10-12 demo tapes and allowed full audio and video taping of Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan over the years. It's not that he wants money, it's that he thinks everything he does is worthy of release. It's laughable but I'm sure he knows that even a lot of his fans won't buy everything he releases. I'm about as huge of Smashing Pumpkins fan as there is but I'm not buying that DVD.

Speaking of leaked SP demo tapes, here's a good one:
-------------------------
Quiet and Other Songs
link: http://zombtracker.the-zomb.com/details.php?id=38641
Fall 1992 - Chicago Studio [?]

Disc 1:
01. Quiet
02. Hello Kitty Kat (Kitty Kat)
03. Cherub Rock
04. Geek U.S.A. (Suicide Kiss)
05. Today
06. Disarm
07. Rocket
08. Spaceboy
09. Set the Ray to Jerry
10. Soma

Disc 2:
01. Whir (Whirl)
02. Meladori Magpie (Doorstep)
03. Pissant
04. Tulips
05. Blew Away
06. French Movie Theme
07. Hummer
08. Frail and Bedazzled
09. Glynis
10. She Says
11. Sweet Sweet
12. Mayonaise

This session resulted in a tape of Siamese Dream demos submitted to Virgin Records in 1992, called: "Quiet and Other Songs: A Collection of Songs for Album II."
Doorstep is an early version of Meladori Magpie and featured a full-band arrangement.
Suicide Kiss evolved into Geek USA.
Hello Kitty Kat was at this time simply titled Kitty Kat.
Set the Ray to Jerry is an early version of the song, full band electric, with a faster tempo and more aggresive sound.
----------------------
This leaked out in 2007 and became maybe my all-time favorite bootleg. Demos for my favorite album plus 5 songs from Pisces Iscariot, "Glynis", "French Movie Theme", early versions of "Meladori Magpie" and "Set the Ray to Jerry" that are totally different than the released versions (but just as cool) and two completely unknown songs ("Tulips" and "She Says") that are totally awesome. I'm really surprised Billy didn't tap like half of this tape for the Siamese Dream reissue.

No way. That song is the perfect distillation of everything I love about the Pumpkins--a little weirdness, a little tenderness, a little noisiness. A great track.

"Glynis" is awesome but "Hummer", "Soma" and "Mayonaise" all destroy it.

Yeah, "God" is a good one. "Mouth of Babes" is my favorite song on the Zero single, though.

Glynis and Drown are the 2 SP songs I listen to the most.

Drown may be their finest moment. Actually.

I wish he'd released more than just a snippet of acoustic TAFH

Drown's the song that got me into the Pumpkins. Bought the Singles soundtrack and that got me into quite a few other bands outside of Pearl Jam.

Bodies is such a great song. I remember trying to explain to my first girlfriend the merits of it. Poor thing just wanted to listen to Avril and be done with it.

Here is no Why - best SP song hands down! Kinda gave up on the reissues after Mellon Collie as I was getting the vinyl and there's no bonus stuff with them.
